Some great news this week! The email "Invitation to interview" just arrived from MIT-Sloan! Almost a perfect Christmas present... although having been accepted would be THE perfect present :)
Some great news this week! The email "Invitation to interview" just arrived from MIT-Sloan! Almost a perfect Christmas present... although having been accepted would be THE perfect present :) Well it appears that I've been through the first stage of application review and now the interview part. A good sign, although an interview doesn't guarantee a spot. I recall that typically (across the top business schools), only between 50-75% of interviewees are offered a spot. While the odds are stacked in your favour, it's not a definite. Anyway, the interview applicaton form is an online system in which you choose a 1 hour slot of a given week. What's different from Columbia, too, is that you are interviewed by one of the admissions committee members, who has read your entire application. The final thing that is a little different is that the it is a "behavioural events based" interview. More details can be found at MIT's interview guide. In short, the focus is on how you reacted in the past - really trying to see your leadership traits. So it looks I have some preparing to get into! |
